You start off the Uglies Series with a young 15 year old Tally Youngblood. She is missing her best friend badly because he was turned pretty. You turn pretty on your 16th birthday. it is an operation that changes the way you look. You move to a new town and your job there is just to have fun. After doing a “trick” to go see her best friend Tally meets a girl named Shay.
The only problem with Shay is that she doesn’t want to become a pretty like everyone else normally does. That causes problems for Tally when Shay runs away. The book brings you through the history of the city and a deeper look into “Special Circumstances”
My Opinion:
I really loved this book but at time it can be a very slow read. The book can be thrilling and entertaining too. It all depends on your reading style. I do recommend this book to others.
