Luce jumps back into an Announcer after the throw down in the last book Torment. Throughout her journey to her past lives she meets Bill who is a scale so-to-speak. He does not pick sides between good and evil. He does however decide to help Luce to find out if and why Daniel really loves her or if it is just the curse that always brings them back together. When Luce finally gets the answer to all of the questions she is looking for she discovers that someone close to her isn't who they say they are and it puts her and all of the other angels in a world of trouble.

My Opinion:
I disliked that they made this entire book about going backwards in time in order for Luce to understand everything. She should have stayed in present time and let Daniel explain everything. They gave you one chapter at the end on present time. I wished it was more moving forward rather then going backwards.
