Unfortunately he is very secretive until the end of the novel.
How: He is constantly disappearing on Ever and always gives her run around answers to her questions.

Ever has lost everything she loves and is forced to move to another state, make new friends and forget all that she had. Haven and Miles are good distractions but she can't help miss her family. Her sister Riley does help her get out of bed every morning and live her life but she still struggles constantly. One day Damien walks into her life and suddenly when he is around her "Abilities" just stop, or at least are calmer. Damien is very sneaky and eventually that drives Ever away but in the end of it all she realizes what matters more then anything. Love.
