Water for Elephants

Book: Water for Elephants
Author: Sara Gruen
Pages: 331
Series: none

Who: Jacob, Marlena, August, Walter, Uncle Al, and many more.
What: sharing his life in the circus
Where: Nursing home and in many cities where his circus relocates.
When: Late 1920’s early 1930’s

Jacob is an old man who can remember his past better then what he ate for breakfast.  As the story progresses you see that the life he has isn’t as perfect as it seems. One trouble after another leaves Jacob in a rough spot. He has to choose between the love of his life or the love of his friends. And then after the choice is made he is left keeping a secret from the woman he loves.

My opinion:
This was one of the best books that I have ever read! It truly shows that no matter what happens in life you can always find your true love.
