That Summer

Book: That Summer
Author: Sarah Dessen
Pages: 198
Series: none

Who: Haven, Ashley, Weather Pet, Sumner, and more.
What: Trying to remember “That Summer” while living the current one.
Where: Haven’s hometown.
When: Summer
Why: Haven liked things the way they used to be and not the way they are now.
How: Haven likes to hold onto the past and not live for today.

Haven is a fifteen-year-old girl who lives with her mother and sister. Her sister Ashley is about to be married and so is her Father. After the divorce Haven has acted semi-normal but Ashley has gone on a rampage. Throughout the book Haven discovers that the summer she felt like things were perfect, weren’t so perfect. Haven also learns that you have to live for today and not for yesterday.

My opinion:
I didn’t like the book AT ALL. It was a slow read to me. It dragged on forever.
