Fade

Book: Fade (#2)
Author: Lisa McMann
Pages: 248
Series: Dream Catcher

Who: Janie, Caleb, Carrie, “Dave”, Stacey, Captain, and a few other kids.
What: Using Janie’s dreams for good and trying to catch teachers in their naughty act. Also Janie finds out what her future holds.
Where:  School and “Dave” ‘s House
When: March-ish/June
Why: Jaine knows what is at stake if she doesn’t help. She also knows what is at stake with her life if she does.
How: Trusting her gut when she knows in the end it will be what saves her.

Janie is amazing, she knows her biggest fears are starting to come true but it doesn’t stop her from being with Caleb or helping out the captain.   Her good friend who was once a dream catcher (Who is also dead by the way) has been appearing in dreams to help teach Janie what will happen to her in the future. Also a little green notebook tears apart Janie, scares her to death. Caleb also has to battle his fears and demons but in the end realizes that Janie will always be there, even when shes mad at him.

My Opinion:
I finished this book in once sitting, right after I finished WAKE. The flow of the story really developed over the course of this book and it knows how to keep you wanting more. I love Caleb and Janie, the way they work together and love eachother is really perfect in a dysfunctional kind of way. That’s who they are though. To kids from dysfunctional families.

Trilogy:
Wake
Fade
Gone
